The award-winning independent will host two competitions and offer private viewings of its celebrated British-made tiara for those who visit its spectacular ice sculpture.
Independent and multi-award-winning jewellery business Bradley's Jewellers York is once again participating in the annual York Ice Trail, focusing on its popular York Rose collection and a pair of competitions for its loyal local audience. Taking place on February 7-8, 2026, the York Ice Trail consists of a series of elaborate ice sculptures positioned around the historic city centre of York. Bradley's Jewellers has participated in this initiative for more than a decade and has hosted numerous competitions to drive footfall and engagement with the event.
In 2026, Bradley's Jewellers will add to the Ice Trail line-up with a six-foot-tall ice sculpture inspired by its best-selling York Rose collection, which was first unveiled in 2022. This British-made fine jewellery range, exclusively designed by Kay Bradley, draws inspiration from the White Rose of Yorkshire and the Rose Window at York Minster, featuring natural and laboratory-grown diamonds across rings, pendants, earrings, bangles and men's signet rings. Highlights include the York Rose Solitaire and York Rose Trilogy rings, which have diamond-set Yorkshire Rose blooms built into the side profile.
The decision to theme this year's ice sculpture around the York Rose collection stems from the success of the range over the last 12 months, specifically its newest additions: the York Rose signet ring, the York Rose Brontë ring, and the unique York Rose Tiara. The latter was first unveiled at York Minster in June 2025 as a homage to the people, places and landscapes of Yorkshire. The piece is British-made and set with 10 carats of marquise-shaped, pear-cut and round brilliant-cut diamonds set in recycled 9ct white gold. In July 2025, the York Rose Tiara made national headlines when it was worn by Hanni Treweek during her high-profile wedding to Coronation Street actor Jack P. Shepherd. The bride wore the tiara alongside a pair of earrings, a bracelet, a pendant, and her bespoke engagement ring, all from Bradley's Jewellers York.
Bradley's Jewellers York Owner, Kay Bradley, comments: "The Yorkshire Rose was the obvious choice for this year's York Ice Trail sculpture. Since expanding the collection to include a unique and one-of-a-kind British-made tiara, we've really captured the imagination of both new and existing customers who want to celebrate their ties to Yorkshire in extra special ways. Seeing the tiara worn at such a highly publicised celebrity occasion was a dream come true, so now we're giving more people the chance to view this incredible piece of jewellery craftsmanship."
Bradley has partnered with her friend and social media influencer, Jack D. March, to bring the York Rose Tiara out of the vault for only the third time in its existence. Visitors can time their visit to the York Ice Trail with a private viewing of the tiara before it returns to the retailer's archives for safekeeping. March will also join Bradley's Jewellers York in hosting a social media competition throughout the Ice Trail, giving one lucky individual the chance to win a British-made sterling silver York Rose pendant worth £500. The winner will be announced on Valentine's Day and will be invited into store to collect their prize.
In keeping with previous years, Bradley's Jewellers will also host a York Ice Trail competition on its website, giving customers and local shoppers the chance to win a York Rose solitaire ring worth £3,000. The piece is set with a 1.02 carat laboratory-grown diamond of D-colour and VVS1 clarity and set in platinum. In order to win, entrants must correctly answer a multiple-choice question about the York Rose Tiara on the business's website and share their contact information. A winner will be selected at random on February 13 and notified of their success on Valentine's Day. They will then be invited into the store to collect their prize and enjoy the full Bradley's VIP treatment.
