Hello. I am Denise Magson – Lee a celebrant based in York, creating heartfelt and joyful wedding ceremonies across Yorkshire. I bring my warm and friendly personality - and my ever-present smile! to- every ceremony I lead, along with calm confidence and genuine care.
From the moment we first chat, I’ll take time to really listen. Whether you know exactly what you want or you’re not quite sure where to start, I’ll guide you every step of the way. Together, we’ll create a ceremony that reflects your story, your values, and your dreams. I’ll support you throughout the planning journey, so you always know what to expect — and what I’ll need from you in return. On the big day, I’ll be a calm, reassuring presence, quietly making sure everything flows smoothly — even if the unexpected happens.
Every wedding I lead is completely bespoke. I believe your ceremony should feel just right — personal, meaningful, and full of love. You’re free to choose your venue, whether that’s a licensed space or somewhere special to you, like a garden, woodland, or family home. You can write your own vows, include rituals such as handfasting or a sand ceremony, and invite loved ones to take part with readings and music that mean something to you.
I’m happy to blend religious, spiritual, and secular elements to suit your beliefs and preferences. Whether your ceremony is simple or themed - from elegant to quirky (like Star Wars or Harry Potter!?) - I’ll help bring your vision to life in a way that feels true to you. Even how you enter can be personal: walking together, with children, or dancing down the aisle to your favourite song. With a celebrant-led wedding, the possibilities are endless.
Every script I write is tailor-made, ensuring no two ceremonies are ever the same. I offer a range of packages to suit different needs and budgets.
