Hello, I’m Helen - an independent, qualified wedding celebrant based in Yorkshire, creating ceremonies that feel deeply personal and truly reflective of you.

From there, I carefully craft a ceremony that feels natural, meaningful and completely your own. No templates. No generic scripts. Just words written with care, shaped around your relationship, your values and the life you’re building together.
Alongside weddings, I also lead vow renewals, baby naming ceremonies, family blending celebrations and funerals — all of life’s significant moments, held with the same respect, warmth and attention to detail.
I genuinely love what I do. It’s a privilege to stand beside people during such important chapters of their lives, and I approach every ceremony with calm guidance, thoughtful preparation and meticulous care.

Every ceremony I write begins with your story.
I spend time getting to know you both — how you met, what you value, what makes you laugh, the quiet things that matter. From there, I carefully craft a script that feels natural and true. No two ceremonies are ever the same, because no two couples are the same.
Whether you’re planning a large celebration or something smaller and more intimate, the structure, tone and content are guided entirely by you.
You might want to include:
– Lyrics from a meaningful song
– Poetry or personal readings
– Music woven throughout
– A symbolic ritual
– Involvement from family or friends
– Even your dog by your side
A celebrant ceremony also allows you flexibility in where and when you marry. A sunset gathering. A woodland setting. A beach. A venue that holds special meaning. The timing and setting can support the atmosphere you want to create.
By the time your wedding day arrives, we will have met and spoken several times. You won’t be standing in front of a stranger reading a generic script. You’ll have someone beside you who knows your story and has taken great care writing words that are completely about you.
My role on the day is to hold the space calmly and confidently, allowing you to be fully present while everything flows naturally.
Being a celebrant is not simply a profession for me — it’s something I feel deeply honoured to do. Whether I’m celebrating a marriage, a vow renewal, welcoming a child, blending families or honouring a life, I approach each ceremony with warmth, attention to detail and genuine care.
