Emma and Jason celebrated their special day at the beautiful Hotel Victoria, Robin Hoods Bay, North Yorkshire. Emma and Jason first met in 2012 in Tenerife. Emma took a job with exotic animals above Lucy's Sports Bar, where she became close friends with bartender Jason and his sister Hannah. After a flirtatious friendship blossomed, Emma decided to take a chance on love, agreeing to be Jason's girlfriend on February 14th, 2015, with encouragement from her mom and Jason's family.
In February 2016 Jason and Emma went on their first trip to Whitby- Jason's hometown and Emma was introduced to the rest of the family. They welcomed her with open arms and Emma knew from early on that their family values aligned and that this was a family in which she wanted to be a part of.
On Christmas day 2016 their first child was born, a beautiful baby girl named Evie. Two years later, November 20th 2018 saw the arrival of their second child, a son named Jack. Their family was complete! The years went by (almost 9 to be precise) but no proposal ever came and Emma had given up on all hopes of ever becoming a bride. Until at last, on their 9th year anniversary, February 14th 2024 Jason popped the big question!
Leading up to their wedding, Emma's mother-in-law, Jayne, took her daughter-in-law to shop for a wedding dress in Middlesborough at WED2B. The first dress she tried on was the one she ultimately purchased: the beautiful ‘Marianna,’ an elegant A-line with a sweetheart neckline and a classic tulle skirt.
They got married on October 11th, 2025, at Hotel Victoria, an iconic gem overlooking the picturesque fishing village of Robin Hoods Bay. It is also where Jason's grandparents made their loving home and where Jason spent much of his childhood. Hotel Victoria offers some of the best coastal views in North Yorkshire, which made it an easy choice for their wedding venue. As a family, they have many fond memories in Robin Hoods Bay, which will always hold a special place in their hearts.
Choosing Robin Hoods Bay over Tenerife for the wedding was an even easier decision. It was important to them that their family and close friends attend, and they felt it would be easier for them to travel to their loved ones rather than ask their 60 guests to come to them. Plus, they both have elderly grandparents they couldn't ask to make the trip. Everything took place at Hotel Victoria, from getting ready in the morning to the party, allowing their guests to avoid travelling and enabling them to spend more quality time with their loved ones.
The hotel staff were incredible, going above and beyond to make their day unforgettable. Everything was impeccable, from the service and food to the hotel rooms, grounds, cleanliness, and exclusivity. The ceremony exceeded their expectations with its intimate, romantic, and personalised setting. They enjoyed beautiful sunshine all day, which allowed them to capture stunning photographs. After the photos, they enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, followed by live music from North Chord.
The most special part of the day was having all their loved ones together in Yorkshire. Living abroad, this is a rare occurrence for them.
We would love to wish the happy couple a long and prosperous marriage!
